Welcome to the Papyrus Collective

     The voice of relevant insight and informed perspectives coming out of California's San Quentin Death Row, representing this new 21st century generation of conscious death row inmate --- a symbol in the struggle against the death penalty and for the humane treatment of all prisoners!

     The creation of this forum represents the "evolution" in the Death Row Inmate's (DRI'S) creative, organized, grassroots activities to promote the solidarity of death row inmates and involvement needed for us to rise up for justice, equality, and the freedoms of our kin.

      The Papyrus Collective is a death row study group / workshop of writers and artists, combining our various genres of literary and artistic expression, individual interests and ideas, forming organized efforts to communicate our messages and experiences ( particularly to at-risk youth) through available mediums in the hope of influencing self, social and political awareness, while inspiring action.

       We want to invite DRI members to participate inThe Papyrus Collective forums' Quarterly articles and anecdotal commentaries that give a personal, enlightening view into the circumstances and issues that are a tragic reality of the legal / judicial and prison systems today.
