As a man whose level of compassion remains a weakness his captor will never embrace, it is faith that provides the courage to stare his psychological and emotional pain dead in its eyes, confronting it, and turning it into a catalyst for undeniable and meaningful growth.

This path is often fraught with profound questions, dilemmas, and confusion where a fierce enemy never sleeps, effectively haunting dreams, ripening men with age, and annihilating their every allied ship ---"time", is a cruel opponent.

Michael's first book engages the reader while exploring self-worth and domains in our lives that need to be conquered, terrain requiring transformation of mundane soil into one's own Holy Land--an insistent splendor of colorful textiles upon which our lives, meaning are sewn.

To date, albeit unfamiliar with the query process, "A Portion of Thyself" has been successfully self-published but having done so in haste, feel as though I've been robbed of an opportunity to share my many important ingredients with purpose, providing this wonderful vessel with the traditional agency/distribution it deserves.

Looking for happiness within myself, I concentrate on today, for nothing can be done about the past and only little about the future.
